Food Pantry

Coastal’s Food Pantry Ministry is full of dedicated volunteers that are anxious to help folks when they need it the most. By partnering with the Food Bank of Southeastern Virginia, Operation Blessing and the donations from our members, we have been able to find a way to procure and channel staple commodities to families in need within our congregation and to those around us to whom we have been given the privilege to minister. The Food Pantry is located at 2800 S. Independence Blvd in Virginia Beach and is open for Community Distribution on the second Tuesday of each month from 11am-12:30pm.  Email foodpantry@vbcoastal.com for more information.

Haiti needs our help!

Haiti is the poorest country in the western hemisphere with malnutrition rates comparable with sub-Saharan Africa. This country was devastated in January 2010 by an earthquake and Coastal is committed to making a difference in the lives of Haitians. We are partnering with churches and ministries in Haiti to provide physical as well as spiritual impact. We are active in Haiti and with our ministry partners. Currently we are sending small teams to Haiti to make an impact and asking God for His further guidance and direction on how we can serve in Haiti. Pray with us as we seek to be used by Him in a country so close to us with so much need. For more information contact our Executive Pastor, JD Calkin

Abba's Pride

Hope for the Hopeless, Future for the Fatherless

Thousands of children in South Africa live as orphans without adults in squatter communities. The children are hungry and lacking basic necessities. Their Abba, Daddy, loves them.

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

Coastal partners with Abba's Pride who is committed to bringing the hope of Christ to orphaned children by coming alongside township churches, in order to help congregations develop sustainable and reproducible ministries that will: Feed hungry children. Provide early childhood centers for preschoolers so that they will develop physically, intellectually, spiritually and emotionally, and their older siblings can attend school. Provide after school "Safe Zones" where children can receive food, tutoring, and spiritual education. Train preschool providers. Teach older children to care for their younger siblings. Intentionally disciple adults and coach them to be transformational leaders.
