If an application for financial assistance is approved, that approval is based solely on need. This process can take 3-5 business days. Applications are not approved based on relationships between the applicant and church leaders or significant church contributors. The church does not discriminate based upon the applicant’s race, color, sex, national origin, age, geographic territory, or disability. However, at this time benevolence is limited to the active congregation of Coastal Community Church.. Attendance will be verified by recently completed Connection Card or serving actively with a Coastal ministry.
The church benevolence ministry provides short-term (emergency) assistance to ensure that basic necessities are provided such as food, clothing, housing, transportation, and medical assistance (including psychological counseling) on a limited basis. The method of providing assistance will be to pay by check directly to a business or provider or by way of a prepaid card for purchasing items like food, clothing, household goods or gas.
