Kellam Campus

Coming Soon! New Campus

Kellam Campus

We’re excited to step into a new season as we launch our second location—our Kellam campus, hosted at St. John’s Baptist Church. This marks an important step in our vision to become a multi-site church, with the hope that this will be one of many locations to come as we continue reaching more people and creating space for community. We’re also thrilled to have Pastor Trabelus serving as the Campus Pastor for Kellam, leading this new location with vision and care.

As we move forward, we know you may have questions—so we’ve created this dedicated Q&A page to provide clear answers, helpful updates, and everything you need to stay informed and connected. If you have additional questions, feel free to reach out to us at kellam@vbcoastal.com. We invite you to be praying over this new chapter with us, trusting God in every step, and we’re truly grateful to walk into this season side by side as a church family.

Yes, we are planning a coffee shop experience located at the Kellam campus similar to our Glenwood Campus.

Our goal is to bring the same Coastal experience and culture to the Kellam campus that you know and love. The same community and welcoming atmosphere will be a priority at Kellam.

Services will include a mix of live teaching and live-streamed messages. Pastor Trabelus will not preach every Sunday but will play a key leadership role in the overall campus experience. Worship will be a live experience.

We will continue to operate as one church across multiple campuses. Coastal Kids will be available at the Kellam campus. At this time, Coastal Student Ministry (CSM) will remain at the Glenwood campus, with plans to grow and expand CSM at the Kellam campus in the future!

We are planning a soft launch in August, allowing time to refine the experience, with a full grand opening scheduled for September 13.

There are volunteer opportunities in all ministries. Whether you plan to attend the Kellam campus or support at the Glenwood campus, we would love for you to be part of the team. Visit our website here to check out different opportunities.

St John's Baptist Church will host Coastal on their campus. We will be two churches sharing one campus. For example, our service is scheduled for 9am and their service will be at 11am. This partnership between churches will be mutually beneficial and is Kingdom minded. We're excited about working together with St John's.

St John’s is located at 2300 Holland Road, Virginia Beach, just south of the old Kellam High School.
