I have spent most of my life in the western US (Arizona and Colorado), and these days we are embracing the adventure that is Virginia Beach! We are grateful the Lord has brought us here and love being part of the Coastal community. I met Jesus and was baptized when I was 17, but it was some time later that I began to understand God’s movement in my life and His pursuit of my heart. 1 John 4:19 is a favorite verse and constant reminder that Jesus went first, “We love because He first loved us.” God has grown my heart for Him and for His people over the years, through church ministry and otherwise, and I’m honored to serve our children and families here at Coastal.
More personally, my favorite "hobby" is time with family - our 4 children (1 son, 3 daughters) range from 17-31, plus a beautiful daughter-in-law and one precious granddaughter. Scott and I like to cook and grill and to share our table with friends. Other favorite pastimes include hanging out on our patio, neighborhood walks, camping, and time at the beach. (I really don’t get enough time at the beach!) I like coffee and chocolate, especially together in a nice mocha latte. Top it off with some good conversation, and I’m in!
