I grew up attending church twice a week in farm town Ohio, going to church camp in the summer, and attending Vacation Bible School. I read the entire Bible, mispronouncing most of it, before I entered high school and memorized several verses from Scripture. I did all the things a Christian kid was supposed to do but failed to establish a personal relationship with Jesus.
When I left home to attend college and eventually join the Navy, I stopped religious practice almost entirely. For about a decade, though I still believed in Jesus, I lived in such a way that you wouldn’t have known it. After I had my first of two kids, I knew things needed to change. The search for a church brought me to Coastal in 2019 and my life will never be the same.
I have a daughter (Zoe), a son (Barrett), and THREE huskies (Mayhem, Helo, Emma). I enjoy game nights, camping, porch sittin’ with friends, and attending live sporting events (especially when it involves the Buckeyes).
